UGCY’s daddy, long time supporter, mentor and uncle Muyiwa is getting ready to headline a concert entitled Eko Ile The Live Show at the 4500 capacity venue Transformation House, 58 St John’s Hill, Clapham Junction, London SW11 2AA on Friday October 28th. The night will showcase songs from Muyiwa’s latest album Eko Ile as well as special guests from the world of entertainment.
The Eko Ile The Live Show will also feature performances from a 10 piece band and an award winning guest choir, strobe lighting, video wall visual effects, special guests and more. It will be similar in scope and production to the visually powerful events Muyiwa and Riversongz have held at Ocean, Indigo 2 at the O2 and Evetim Apollo
Powerful songs from Eko Ile will be performed throughout the concert and will signify return to Muyiwa’s roots. The concert will see Muyiwa performing a myriad of African music styles via gospel. Muyiwa wrote many of the songs on Eko Ile alongside Kwame Yeboah (Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Ms. Dynamite) and Eddie Martin (Whitney Houston, Neyo, Chris Brown) and produced by the former. The album features a wealth of music styles from across the African continent and features highlife reminiscent of fellow countryman Fela Kuti, refreshed takes on traditional African praise, and African reggae
The Eko Ile concert will be a night of great hope, inspiration and upliftment, and set to bring the public out in their droves. You do not want to miss out! Grab your tickets here NOW! For a taste of what to expect, check out this video.
